Baccarach-St. Goar-Bingen cruise on Rhine 2015

We took boat ride from Baccarach to St. Goar and then to Bingen and back to Baccarach. It was a nice sunny day. We got off at St. Goar, which is a nice little village. We enjoyed looking at the shops and in one they gave them us a sample of peach brandy and we liked it so my friend bought some. Then we took the boat to Bingen, we had lunch on boat, it was okay, but not that great. We looked around at Bingen but because it was Sunday most of the stores were closed. We then took boat back to Baccarach. We saw many castles and beautiful vineyards and it only cost about $20 Canadian, much cheaper than the cruise boats that were doing the same route.

Vancouver-Frankfurt-Baccarach 2015

My friend and I were going to Europe for 34 days, but got off to a rocky start when Condor flight that was supposed to leave May 13 was cancelled due to mechanical problems. We spent the first day and a half at the hotel Hilton in Richmond waiting for the plane to get fixed. We managed to reorganize our travel plans. We left Vancouver May 15 and arrived in Frankfurt on Friday May 16, where our hosts picked us up. They drove us about 1 hour to Baccarach. It was a nice sunny day and and the country was beautiful with hills and farms, then mountains, Rhine river, and castles. We had a nice apartment with great hosts web page www.few-kachel.de, address 56154 Boppard, Baccarach.
